I, Chaplain Bob, only do very minor wedding planning as I offer to assist brides and grooms with picking a wedding venue, like a beach for the special day. I have offered to help them find a beachfront hotel or restaurant for the reception dinner. I never want to get involved with floral arraignments and flower centerpieces for the dinner tables of the reception of the wedding. I can help find a nice place for dinner and that is about it. I never do decorations for the wedding hall.

Your wedding planner can help you pick an appropriate hotel for a Florida destination wedding. We have three star hotels for a decent room at a budget price. A four star hotel is a bit more expensive with better accommodations and a higher level of service. A five star hotel or resort is pure unadulterated luxury and is priced accordingly. Of course if you have to ask for the prices that the luxurious five star hotels charge, and then you  may not be able to afford it. I know that I can not afford a grand a night room.

Some hotels have an oceanfront view and they can sometimes allow you to have your wedding ceremony on their very own private beach with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop for your wedding pictures.

The winter time is our busy season and prices for everything go up. Hotels, food and everything related to tourism and weddings costs more in the season. The season in Florida generally runs from after Thanksgiving to Easter / Passover.

You can sometimes get some really great deals on four and five star luxury hotels in the spring, summer and fall for your off season wedding. If you are a snowbird as we call people from out of towns, you can get some great deals by coming to Florida in the off season. Locals can enjoy the out of season or off season specials for most of the year.
