1. Jesus went to hell with the damned--Acts 2:31

Matthew 12:40 speaks of Jesus being “three days

and three night in the heart of the earth,” just

as Jonah was three days and three nights in the

whale’s belly. Also in Ephesians 4:9, We are told

that Jesus “descended first into the lower parts

of the earth?”. When Jonah was in the whale, it is

likely that he died.  Think about it.  Could a man

survive 3 days of being soaked in hydrochloric

acid (strong enough to eat through steel)?  Of

course, God can do anything.  However, in lieu of

Ephesians 4:9, it is obvious to me that Jonah did

die, and then descended into the Paradise side of

Hades.  After 3 days and nights, God brought Jonah

back to life.  I believe this is why Samuel was

seen rising up out of the earth in 1st Samuel

28:14, he was coming from the Paradise side of

Hades.



And when they say Catholic, it has a reference to

the meaning of the word catholic being universal.

Not the pope or what passes itself off as a

church.

The pastor of a small church decided to preach to the kids at the Sunday school.

He wanted to add some visual aids to his sunday school sermon as everyone knows that some people need to see things to learn.

The preacher took four worms and added them to four jars and the jars contained the following ingredients.

1. Jar one had one worm and cigarette smoke and nicotene from the cigarette was added to it.
2. jar two had chocolate pieces and chocolate syrup in it and one of the worms
3.  Jar three had beer added to it and a wee bit of liquor 80 proof was added for good measure with the worm.
4. the fourth jar had regular old garden soil with the last worm.

At the end of Sunday school the kids all went to the regular sermon and the preacher preached for an hour.

After the regular sermon was complete the kids were all invited to see what the worms were doing along with their parents.

The worms in the Chocolate, cigarette and beer with liquor were all dead.

The worm in the soil was still alive and squirming around.

The pastor of the church proudly asked what the kids had learned....

Little johnny got up and proudly said:

If you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you will not have worms...

Out of the mouth of babes...

and people think kids are dumb...?

 On October 16^th 2010 Region six of the FWPCOA held their annual family picnic at Okeeheelee Park in Palm Beach County. It was a beautiful day with a few clouds in the blue sky. It was about perfect as far as the temperature was concerned. We had just gotten over the heat spell and it had just recently cooled off a bit and we had the covered picnic area with catered food.  One could not ask for a more perfect day for a family picnic.

The catering company supplied ribs that did not last too long. There seemed to be enough food for the people, it is just that when good food is around plant operators it does not last long. Plant operators remind me of a shark feeding frenzy at times. Hey I resemble that remark. The chicken looked great also and there were hot dogs and burgers. I do not believe anyone went hungry unless they arrived after the picnic was over.  I would venture to guess from the looks of the operators that they seldom go hungry and miss a meal.

The turnout was pretty good as I estimated about 75-80 people in attendance. I saw many children that enjoyed the bounce house and Tippy the clown. Tippy the clown was busy making balloon animals and painting the faces of the children. He also did juggling for a quick show for the children. I thought the children enjoyed the clown show very much as he was busy with the kids almost the entire time of the picnic. How come when I saw the clown I was thinking of the midterm elections...? I am sorry if this offends you as I would never want to insult the clown.

Patty Brock is our treasurer for region six and she is the training coordinator for the local region. She is also a water plant superintendent for Palm Beach County water. She keeps the books straight and makes sure we have money to pay the bills. Patty we thank you for all the work that you do for the association and the region.

Phil Donovan is our director for region six and he has held many FWPCOA offices and was a president at the state level. Phil is very active trying to improve the image of the operators and help with their lot in life. He has a wonderful family with a wife named Suzie and a daughter named Sally. Phil helped me find a job in the water field when I was looking for work. Phil has done a great deal of volunteer work and it seems to be a thankless job most of the time. Thanks Phil for all that you do for all of us.

Vince Munn is our Vice Chair of the local region six and He is a supervisor for Palm Beach County water utilities. Vince is very involved with the region for many years as an officer of the board of directors and as an instructor. Vince has put on numerous classes at his plant and as an instructor on various subjects. The classes that he offers through the association allows the local region to build up their reserves to be able to offer family picnics, monthly dinners and other events without breaking the bank. Thanks Vince for all the work that you do.

Pat Lyles is our Chair of the local FWPCOA region six and he also works at Palm Beach County water utilities and I believe he is also a supervisor. Mr. Lyles is another volunteer instructor that helps the region build up their reserves. Pat does a great deal for the local region and I wish I knew more to tell you. Pat I want to thank you for all that you do for us and helping with the events and planning.

Dave Ailstock is a superintendent for the City of Boynton Beach and is our activities guy for the local region. Dave also helps plan events and his favorite is the regions sponsored football games. We have a region six sponsored event for a Miami Dolphins game on December 5^th against the Cleveland Browns and we hope it is a good game. Eusebio Morales is the Secretary of the local region and he was unable to be in attendance for the local family picnic. I have no picture available of him and he works at the City of Lake Worth. Thanks Mr. Morales for all the worth that you do for the local region.

Richard Dillon is our resident water and wastewater instructor at what is now Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Fl. He has been the teacher there for the last couple of years. These classes are approved by the FDEP as residence courses for sitting at the "C" water and wastewater examination. I feel indebted to Richard for helping me pass the wastewater certification examination.

Richard has been involved in providing education for many years and offers water and wastewater review courses. He also has a water review book that I have found very useful for study. Richard holds a double A license and also has FWPCOA voluntary certification in collections and distribution. He went to college for a few years and was a manager with the City of Miramar and Davie in Broward County in South Florida.  Richard has forgotten more than I will probably ever know about the water and wastewater field.

I went to college for two years and I hold a Double "C" license and I feel the wastewater certification exam was the most difficult test I ever took in my life. I walked out of the FDEP testing room and I was not sure if I passed the wastewater examination or not. The water exam was not easy, but it was not nearly as challenging as the wastewater test. I am certain I would not have passed the wastewater exam had I not taken Richards review class.  Thanks for all your help Richard.

Richard held many offices with region seven of the FWPCOA and he told me the only office he did not hold was director. He did volunteer work for the association for a number of years. Remember you always get what you pay for.

Holiday weddings on a budget

 Holiday weddings are very popular and the reason being is generally everybody is off from work and all the family and friends are gathered together in one place and at one time. So it is very easy to have a wedding and nobody has to reschedule their work to make it to your wedding as there are already there. I have performed weddings on all the major holidays Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and Easter.

 Many people think that Christmas would be a strange time to have a wedding but when you think about the fact that everybody's off from work and all families together Christmas time is a perfect time to have a wedding. It's also very difficult for the groom to forget his anniversary, hint. New Year's Eve as well as New Year's Day is very popular as you start off the New Year as newlyweds the beginning of a new year as husband and wife and your new marriage.

 I've done several weddings on Thanksgiving Day and you know full well the families are altogether as everybody's off from work. One year at couple begged me to drive up to Port St. Lucie to get married on Thanksgiving and they made a lunch out of it. They were kind enough to invite me for a Thanksgiving feast and they had a very large crowd present. They actually cooked two turkeys for dinner. One turkey was baked in the oven and the other was deep-fried. I had never had deep-fried turkey before and let me tell you it was delicious. This was one of the nicest reception dinners that I had ever been to. After I was stuffed I actually went home and had dinner with my family again. I think I gained 5 pounds at that weekend.

 Easter Sunday is a very popular time for weddings and I did a few sunrise weddings on Easter Sunday. One time I was in Deerfield Beach and looking for the bride and groom to perform their wedding. I saw that there were three weddings going on simultaneously on Easter morning. The photographer that I was with was able to get some spectacular pictures of the sunrise that morning. Sunrise wedding photography can be very unusual and you can get unusual lighting conditions with the sun breaking over the horizon and the rays of the sun breaking through the clouds. These make for very unusual wedding pictures and with all outdoor weddings you are at the mercy of the weather.

 So having your wedding day on a holiday is not all that unusual. I cannot tell you the number of weddings I've performed on Valentine's Day. One bride told me that she decided to get married on Valentine's Day because she told me that the groom was very forgetful and she wanted to make sure that he would remember the anniversary date of their marriage. I was talking to the groom and I told him quite plainly that he better be sure to never forget his anniversary since he got married on Valentine's Day. He started laughing and I put my finger in his face that says you better never forget your anniversary buddy. He laughed even harder and I told him if you forget your anniversary on Valentine's Day let me tell you what will happen to you. Your bride will kill you and she will get an all woman jury for the murder trial and they will give her a verdict of not guilty. Your widow will collect your life insurance policy and find another guy that won't forget the anniversary. The forgetful groom thought this was hilarious and I said what are you laughing about am not joking I'm serious. Some guys just never learn...

 Anyways holidays are very great time to hold the celebration of marriage and have your wedding day. If you have wedding photographers available you can capture pictures of all the family that is present at your wedding. And you know how mothers are about getting pictures of their children, so will lead to photography of all your family members and your friends. I just wanted to give you a few of my thoughts based upon my experience as a wedding officiant as I've seen the trends in the past and the future.

In today's tough economy people are going for cheap, affordable weddings on a very limited budget and a wedding at home in the garden or on the beach is the perfect wedding venue and you can save a lot of money by not having to rent a hotel or country club. You can go to Publix and pickup and party platters, beer, wine and champagne as well as wedding cake for your special day and save a lot of money. Publix also has flowers in their floral section that are actually quite reasonable in price. Buying flowers in the supermarket can save you money and the flowers that they do have are very nice, but you are very limited in your selection of flower arrangements.

 By catering your own wedding with food from the supermarket and maybe making some of your own you can save a lot of money. I hope these ideas are useful to you to help you save money on your wedding day so that you can spend the money on your honeymoon and have a nice vacation to start your marriage off right by spending time together and finally getting to really know each other. Think about having a cruise on a ship, where the food is great, and you could room in a nice Ocean view cabin and have over a romantic time together.

 Instead of wasting all your money on a hotel or country club for a one-day event you can take the money that you save him and purchase a home together. This makes a lot more economic sense than throwing away and blowing $25,000 on a one-day event. If you have that kind of money that's great but not all of us do have that kind of money.

 One of the things that really bother me is that I've seen people spend $6,000-$8,000 on flowers and floral arrangements and yet they do not want to spend a few hundred dollars on photography. They beat the wedding photographer down in price and want them to work for nothing. Yet one hour after the wedding and reception dinner is over him the flowers will end up in the garbage. But yet the wedding pictures should be able to endure for years to come. But people do not want to spend any money on photography and it just does not make any sense to me.

 I strongly recommend him in the one of the things on your budget that you do not scrimp on is photography for wedding pictures.

What the Bible says about a woman's ministry

An entire book could be written on the role of women and their ministries. Let us look briefly at the beginnings of Adam man and of Eve the woman. In Genesis 2:7 it is said that God formed man out of the dust of the earth. In Genesis 2:8 the Lord said it was not good for man to be alone. So in Genesis 2:21 God made Eve out of Adam's rib. I wish to make two points here. First Adam was formed from the earth and yet Eve was made from man or built by the Lord from Adam. The term that a woman is “built” is still widely used today as I am sure that everyone has heard the saying she is built like a brick...

 

My second point is that it was not good for Adam to be alone, so the Lord made Eve from a rib in Adam's side. This was very symbolic as she was not made from Adam's foot for her to be walked on, nor was she made from Adams had in order to be his ruler. But Eve was taken from Adam site to be a close helper and for her and to be close to his heart as she walks with him side by side. So marriage was created by God himself...

 

This is an old Bible adage worth repeating and is found in Proverbs chapter 31 and it says: who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Her husband's heart does safely trust in her so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do well for him and no evil for all the days of her life. She seeks after wool and flax as she works willingly with her hands she is like the ships of a merchant she brings her food from afar. She rises early while it is yet night and she gives food for her household and a portion of food for her maidens. She considers a field as she purchases it and what the fruit of her hands she will plant a vineyard. She gird your loins with strength and she strengthens her arms. She perceives that her merchandise is good her candle does not go out at night she lays her hands to the spindle and her hands hold a distaff she stretches out her hands to the poor yes she reaches forth her hands to the needy she is not afraid of the snow for her household for all her household are clothed in scarlet she opens her mouth with wisdom and with her tongue is the law of kindness favor is deceitful and beauty is vain the woman that fears God she is to be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands and let her works praise her indicates.

Wow! That is the Lord's idea of the perfect woman for a wife and no wonder the Lord said it was not good for the man to be alone as Adam’s not yet complete until Eve came. Did you ever hear of and Miriam the prophetess? Look in Exodus 15:20 Miriam who is the sister of Moses was called the prophetess. She led the women in singing and dancing praising God for his works. Moses who was her brother led the men. In numbers chapter 12 Miriam tried to question the authority of Moses and she was struck by God with leprosy and she was exiled from the camp for seven days. 

 

Was the prophetess and a judge of Israel look in the book of Judges Chapter 4 and it reads Deborah a prophetess the wife of Lapidoth she judged Israel at this time. Her husband is only mentioned this time in the Bible. When you have someone whose heart is right with God, he will give you authority over much if we are faithful in the little things as well. Was there not a man whose heart was as pure to God as Deborah? In the book of Joel chapter 2 the Lord says he will pour out his Spirit upon all flesh sons and daughters. In the book of Luke chapter 2 we read of Anna a prophetess who served God in the Temple day and night with fasting and prayer. In Revelation chapter 8 prayers from the Saints are offered within sense to God from the Angels hands.

 

Paul wrote to Timothy in second Timothy chapter 1 about how his grandmother and mother taught him about God and instilled in him and unfeigned faith. So women teach their children and the young man about God as in Sunday school. Paul and Titus chapter 2 tells the elder women to teach the younger women to be sober and to love their children and husbands.

 

You can never underestimate the power of a godly woman in training a child in first Timothy chapter 2 a woman was not to teach or usurp authority over a man in chapter 3 of Timothy A. Bishop was to be the husband of one wife. A bishop is a preacher minister and he was to teach in the church women should witness to people they meet for Christ but I do not believe they were created to lead men in the church. I personally have learned much from women. They can be great for teaching children and young men. They have a love for Christ that could be instilled into a young child. But men should lead men in the church as stated in the Bible in the words of Paul.

Many women have good ministries and I welcome them, but I would be wearable woman behind the altar teaching men. Read Titus and Timothy and you will certainly understand. Many women who do demand liberation from man don't want God the father to be their ruler.  which is in lesbianism have a big place in the lives of the spirit of the age that we live in. This could very well be called the spirit of Jezebel who reject God the father is a man and want to worship the Goddess made in their image. Witches are all often times into lesbianism and have no use for a man at all. Does a woman then to be married to serve God? No, however there will be a man who could use a helpmate that will certainly be alone.

I wish that more women than men would answer a call of God upon their lives. God made men and women unique with a different purpose and we are made to help each other and not fight each other for authority. Even Christ was under authority of seen the book of Matthew chapter 8. Do you realize that rebellion is considered as the sin of witchcraft as in first Samuel chapter 15 in verses 23 and by the way the penalty for witchcraft was death. Let us answer our call to God that he has put forth in our lives.

God bless America?

God bless America or so the song goes but is God going to bless the USA or are we under a curse and why? Would you believe the USA has performed over 70 million abortions since 1972?

 

In Leviticus chapter 26 the Lord God of Israel promised his blessings upon them for obedience and curses for disobedience of his commandments. In Exodus chapter 28 states that the sixth of the 10 Commandments was you shall not kill. In the book of John chapter 14 verse 14 Jesus says if you love me keep my commandments. Be very careful of a church that says all that you have to do is believe in God and that you are saved. A False Church will want you to believe that you can break all of God's commandments on a regular basis and still be saved and go to heaven. But that's not what Jesus taught.

 

Blessings and curses can be upon individuals as well is upon nations. Remember that America was founded as a Christian nation in covenant with the father. If you take a look at history and not what the modern schools teach you will know this to be true. So is abortion murder? The Lord told Jeremiah in chapter 1 him that before I formed you in the belly I knew you. In the book of Luke chapter 1 and John the Baptist was called a baby of his mother's womb and he leaped for joy and the angel Gabriel told Zacharias who was John the Baptist father that his son would be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother's womb. Well so much for Planned Parenthood telling you that a fetus is not yet a child that is if you believe the Bible. Do you know that Lucifer knows the Bible far better than most professing Christians?

 

The devil will do anything to get us out of fellowship with our father God. God allowed Israel to be destroyed for various reasons one reason was that they sacrificed their children to the Demon God Moloch. I don't believe that we in the USA are much different. Do you know what partial-birth abortion is? The murderers who hold a medical license or rather an M.D. take a full term nine-month-old child while it is being born take scissors to the rear base the child's skull cutting open the base of the skull and severs the child's spinal cord. The medical procedure that takes a vacuum cleaner type device and they suck out the dead child's brains. Brains are then stored in cold packs and sold to a major computer chip manufacture. The baby's brains are then processed to make what is called protein memory computer chips.

I read about this the protein memory chips in my college computer science class they would not dare tell us how they got the protein for this manufacturing process. Collagen used in cosmetics is often made from dead babies that are ground up in what is essentially a meat grinder. Baby body parts from abortion clinics are sold to hospitals and medical clinics as tissue for implants these medical experiments would've made Adolf Hitler and the Nazi’s proud.

So why do some churches remain silent on this issue? Maybe because the government has levied fines against churches and people who speak out. The church could lose its tax exempt status if it says anything. A 501(c) 3 tax exempt corporation masquerades as a church. Liberals who say they care about the environment care more about baby seals and polar bears than they do about full-term children being killed. The Church remained silent and we sang the song God bless America as we passed the 70 million mark for children butchered in the abortion mills.

In the book of Galatians chapter 6 it says: be not deceived God is not mocked whatsoever a man shall so that shall he also reap. Jesus Christ can forgive us if only we will ask the Lord for forgiveness for this horrible sin. Just remember he can forgive to the outermost just don't wait too long. Well it is this sort of thing that makes me wonder what would happen if the rapture took place on a Sunday morning during church? Would it even be noticed? We need to read the word of God the King James Bible. We need to turn off our television and began to cry out to God for mercy and grace for our beloved America. It is clear that if my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land. America the Lord is calling you to repent. The doctrine of the pre-trib rapture is suspect...research it from the Bible and see if it is true. Divorce is rampant as is homosexuality and witchcraft and we sing God bless America?

Forgiveness

Have you ever heard the saying that to err is human, but to forgive is divine? Yes, we make mistakes but when we forgive you are closer to being like Christ. Forgiveness is being able to look at each other's faults and mistakes and being willing to overlook them. I once heard a saying that friends come and go, but enemies accumulate. If we can forgive then the enemies hatred is their problem in God's eyes.

The Bible speaks of forgiveness on the part of the Christian, I believe we are talking about forgiving them who offend us personally, and I do not believe it is for us to forgive those who offend God such as the double that is up to the Lord. Nor are we to forgive capitol crimes worth of death, like murder or rape.

Forgiveness is one of the most important things that a married couple can learn and without it your marriage is doomed to failure. Churches neglect this very important subject and yet this is one of Christ’s main teachings when he had his ministry here on earth. Your spouse is not perfect and neither are you so you should both learn to forgive each other for minor things. Ladies need to learn this as they are sometimes more prone to remember faults years later ans guys usually forget and move on.

 

If someone hurt one of your children you could forgive them without giving them another chance to hurt your children again. So let us look at what the Bible says about forgiveness.

In Mark 11:25 Jesus says: “when you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against any: that your father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses, but if you do not forgive, neither will your father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” So in other words if you do not forgive you will not be forgiven. This is dangerous territory to be in with the Lord God.

To me this means that we can believe in God and yet still go to hell all because of an unforgiving spirit! The spirit of forgiveness is a matter of the heart.

Look at Matthew 5:21-24 Jesus says quote you've heard that it was said by them of old time, you shall not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment; but I say unto you that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.

Look at this carefully if you are angry with a brother without a valid reason, you are in danger of eternal judgment. If you will not forgive and have hatred then that could turn into murder. Yet, if you forgive in your heart, then murder would never be a problem.

Look at verse 23 if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that they brother has something against you, leave their gift before the altar and go your way first be reconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift.

God would rather us to first work out our problems with each other rather than to have us offer him a gift. Some of the meanest, unforgiving people that I have ever met were people who went to church. Some of these church people may end up in danger of eternal judgment because of the sin of unforgiveness.

 

Christianity has to be real because of sin in the church; many people want nothing to do with Jesus. Do you realize that we will be held to a higher standard than the lost, unsaved world? We serve a holy righteous God who has forgiven us a far more than any of us deserve. Do you think that others have offended you? How much more heavily offended our heavenly father?

When people look at this concept, than the words that Jesus will shine forth as when he said:

The first of all the commandments is, hear, oh Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord: and you shall love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength; this is the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this, you shall love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. If we do these and make this real in our hearts people would flock to full churches. This is a sorely like neglected subject in the church this doctrine of forgiveness should be taught before a preacher talks about planting “seed money” and “tithing your way to prosperity”. Unforgiveness could land us in hell while not paying type money would not. Remember that the only reason we are forgiven our sins is because of what Christ did for us on the cross.

Ephesians 1: 5-7 Paul writes by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved. In him we have retention through his blood the forgiveness of sin, according to the riches of his grace.

We should forgive as Christ forgives. Look it one last verse Colossians 3: 13 forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any, even as Christ for gave you, so also ye do.

Please do not confuse forgiveness as an excuse for deceivers to mislead the church, but that is the subject of another article in another blog.

Who made it?

 

Henry Ward Beecher was sitting in his study, and there was a knock on his door. He went to answer the door and Col. Robert G. Ingersoll was standing there before him. Dr. Beecher, a pastor,  told the colonel to come in. Col. Ingersoll was well known as an atheist. Dr. Beecher asked the Col. to take a look at something before he sat down and relaxed.

The pastor directed a guest to a table upon which there was a replica of our solar system. This replica included the son with all the planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. These were all the known planets of our solar system in their respective orbits around the sun. Col. Ingersoll gazed upon the gadget with utter amazement as it was so ingeniously devised and built.

The colonel exclaimed this is wonderful I would want to have something exactly like this.

Who made this?

The pastor said why, nobody made it! It just happened. Col. Beecher asked the pastor do you think I am a fool? Tell me, who made this model? The pastor insisted it just happened, it evolved and here it is now for us to look at.

What is really interesting is an atheist can look at an object that is really very simple compared to the complexity of all the life on earth and they know the model was created, but yet they think the earth and all its life simply evolved on its own.

The atheist silently withdrew his questions...
